The word Orangutan directly translates from Malay to person of the forest yet they are being hunted for the illegal meat trade and are captured for the exotic pet industry.
However, Deforestation poses the most severe threat to these beautiful creatures with nearly 80% of their natural habitat destroyed over the past 30 years. Your adoption will help to protect the future of these intelligent animals and implement campaigns to educate the wider world on the devastating effects that our actions are having.
